KARACHI: World-renowned actor and composer Moin Akhtar, who made Pakistan famous all over the world, passed away 11 years ago.
Moin Akhtar was not only an actor, but also the name of an era, who showcased their talents in every field of fine arts. Born on December 24, 1950 in Karachi, the legendary actor Moin Akhtar was called the Academy of Art, because whether it was film, TV or stage drama, he displayed his God-given talents in every field.
While Moin Akhtar had a knack for imitating the style of important personalities, he also introduced a new style of humor to the TV fans which was his specialty, on TV where he met Anwar Maqsood and Bushra Ansari. Together they presented many masterpieces and also played roles ranging from the youngest to the oldest, which still makes you laugh.
Moin Akhtar’s popular TV dramas include ‘Rozi’, ‘Wait’, ‘Kemari from Bandar Road’, ‘Angan Teerha’, ‘Studio Dhai’, ‘Studio Pune Teen’, ‘Yes Sir Nosar’ and ‘Eid Train’. ‘ Included. Moin Akhtar passed away on April 22, 2011 due to cardiac arrest. According to fellow artists, the way Moin Akhtar introduced Pakistani culture through dramas and shows, hardly anyone else could do it so well. In recognition of Moin Akhtar’s artistic services, he has been awarded several important national and international awards, including the Presidential Medal for Excellence and Sitara-e-Imtiaz.
