Giving a weekly press briefing to journalists in Islamabad, Asim Iftikhar said that he would keep the international community informed about India’s human rights violations. Fascist Hindutva riots are targeting minorities in India, on Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir. There is deep concern that unilateral action by India in Kashmir is not acceptable.
He said that the meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) appreciated the struggle of Kashmiris for their right to self-determination and demanded withdrawal of Indian initiatives. Violations of human rights continue. We will continue to inform the international community about India’s human rights violations. The focus of the Foreign Minister’s visit to New York was the economic development of Kashmir, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
He said that US Deputy Secretary of State would pay a two-day visit to Pakistan from today. The two countries have a relationship based on mutual interests and Pakistan and the United States want peace in Asia. Wanting lasting stability, and both countries have a common view on Afghanistan, the congressional hearing does not reflect the official position of the United States.
