Islamabad: After Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Finance Minister Taimur Jhagra wrote two letters, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail called for a meeting.
Private TV, citing sources, said that Miftah Ismail has called Taimur Jhagra for a meeting on Monday. Provincial Finance Minister Taimur Jhagra had previously written a letter to the Finance Minister on July 6.
After there was no progress on the first letter, Timur Jhagra wrote a second letter, in which he demanded 100 billion for the merged districts and arrears. Citing sources in the Ministry of Finance, it was reported that 21 billion rupees are already with the KP government. But will take the IMF into confidence, the IMF will be informed about the progress of solving the financial issues of the province.
Earlier, former finance minister Shaukat Tareen took the current finance minister Miftah Ismail with open arms. Shaukat Tareen has said that if Miftah Sahib had removed the concerns of the KP government so far from the budget, Timur Jhagra would not have written to you. Shaukat Tareen said don’t be an ostrich and solve all your failures instead of blaming them on PTI. Your failures are now being highlighted by your own colleagues, better to solve the problem.
Asad Umar also criticized the government and said that Miftah Ismail is saying that the agreement with the IMF is not possible because of PTI, he is trying to blame the failure on PTI. He said that Nawaz Sharif is describing the popularity of Miftah Ismail.
