Islamabad: During Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Qatar, Pakistan and Qatar agreed to promote cooperation in various fields. According to Radio Pakistan, this agreement was signed between Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha today.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed issues of bilateral and mutual interest.
According to official news agency APP, earlier, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif arrived at Diwan Amiri to meet the Emir of Qatar and was warmly welcomed.
A red carpet was laid to welcome Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Diwan where an official ceremony was held in his honor.
The Emiri Guards also presented a guard of honor to the Prime Minister who was in Doha on a two-day official visit at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar.
After meeting the Emir of Qatar today, Shahbaz Sharif will also meet the Chairman of Qatar Businessmen’s Association and the Chief Executive of Qatar Airways to promote economic cooperation between the two countries.
Shahbaz Sharif visited Qatar on Tuesday, his first visit as Prime Minister, with the aim of promoting trade and attracting investment in the country.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif also met the Emir of Qatar’s father Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and mother Muza bint Nasr on Wednesday and appreciated their role in strengthening the relations between the two brotherly countries.
The Prime Minister thanked the father of the Emir of Qatar for the warm welcome he and his delegation had received and mentioned the importance attached by Pakistan to the long-standing and close relations with Qatar built on a strong foundation of mutual trust and support.
He mentioned the visits of the Emir of Qatar’s father to Pakistan in 1999 and 2017 and appreciated his role in strengthening the relationship between the two countries and acknowledged the stability of bilateral relations during his tenure.

He invited the father and mother of the Emir of Qatar to visit Pakistan and expressed his goodwill and best wishes for Qatar to host the FIFA World Cup 2022 this year.
