Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid has said that lockdown in the most affected areas of the province is necessary to prevent corona cases. Daily 550000 people are getting vaccinated and we want that no one may miss the vaccination.
He said that only 10 per cent of Delta variant cases have been vaccinated. Meanwhile, Federal Minister Asad Umar said in a message on Twitter that the rate of corona positive cases in Azad Kashmir is currently between 25 to 30 per cent. .
He said that elections in Corona spread in Azad Kashmir have acted as a super spreader. He recommended postponing the elections in Azad Kashmir for a few months and called for a special vaccination campaign. Campaign not agreed.
“Since the elections, the rate of corona positive cases in Azad Kashmir has increased as we were ready to postpone the elections but the PPP and the PML-N refused to do so,” he said. The federal minister said that two weeks ago, Bilawal Zardari was threatening that if more corona spreads in Karachi, then the responsible prime minister and ministers will be gone. Now the PDM has announced to hold a meeting in Karachi this month.
He said that it was unfortunate that the worst violations of Corona SOPs in the last one year have come from politicians. Federal Minister Asad Omar said that 40 million doses of Corona vaccine have been administered in Pakistan so far. He said that the last 10 million doses of vaccine have been given in just 9 days. Asad Umar appealed to the people to get vaccinated against corona again and said that they should get vaccinated to make Pakistan safer.
