The Lahore High Court has ordered to immediately stop the police operation in Zaman Park to arrest Imran Khan till 10 am tomorrow.
In the High Court, a hearing was held on the application of Fawad Chaudhry to stop the police operation in Zaman Park. Advocate General Punjab Shan Gul appeared in the court.
Imran Khan’s lawyer said that I am not defending Imran Khan, but what is happening outside Zaman Park is a violation of fundamental rights, it has become a war zone.
The Advocate General said that the Imran Khan case is pending in the Islamabad High Court, this application cannot be heard in the Lahore High Court.
Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh said that whoever is leading the operation on behalf of the Islamabad Police, we will call him. Will issue their warrant.
The lawyer for the federal government said that the Islamabad Police does not come under the jurisdiction of the Lahore High Court.
The court ordered the immediate appearance of Chief Secretary Punjab, IG Punjab and DIG Operations Islamabad Shehzad Bukhari, the officer in charge of the operation.
After the break, IG Punjab appeared in the court, Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh told him that if we stop the operation until the decision of the Islamabad High Court, is there any objection?
IG Punjab replied that we are bound to implement every order of the court.
