LAHORE: Lahore High Court granted protective bail of Imran Khan in 9 cases, the court granted bail for 7 days in cases filed in Islamabad and 10 days in cases filed in Lahore.
Imran Khan filed an application in the Lahore High Court for protective bail in 9 cases, which was heard by a two-member bench.
The bench ordered Imran Khan to appear in the court and directed the police to provide security from Zaman Park to Lahore High Court, upon which Imran Khan reached the court an hour late in the form of a procession.
The court gave Imran Khan time to reach the court at half past five, but due to the blocking of the roads and the participation of a large number of workers, he did not appear in the courtroom until six o’clock.
According to the representative Express, the police force was not seen enough to protect Imran Khan, but the PTI’s spearhead force had taken the chairman and the leadership under their siege.

Imran Khan’s lawyers informed the court that there was delay in reaching the court room due to PSL matches, road closures and rush of workers.
Later, Imran Khan reached the court room around half past six, after which the cases were heard.
A two-member bench comprising Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh and Justice Farooq Haider conducted the hearing and Imran Khan appeared before the court. Meanwhile, Imran Khan’s lawyers presented arguments before the bench and Imran Khan came to the rostrum.
The petitioner’s lawyer said that five cases against Imran Khan are in Islamabad, three cases are in Lahore, the petitioner needs a security bond to appear in the relevant court, the security bond is a fundamental right of Imran Khan.

Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh said that we will grant bail in the same case whose application is before us. The lawyers started reading the details of the cases filed against Imran Khan under anti-terrorism provisions.
Giving arguments, Fawad Chaudhry said that cases have been registered against 2500 people, they want to arrest 5 to 6 thousand people, cases are being registered to target political revenge.
Imran Khan told the judges that the problem is that there have been so many cases, I don’t understand where to appear, I can’t tell about the attack on my house. I am grateful to the court which protected me and saved me.
Addressing Imran Khan, Justice Tariq Sheikh said that “Khan Sahib, if you follow the system, many problems will be solved”.
Imran Khan said that the interior minister is saying that my life is in danger, the place where I am appearing is not free of danger, the court case should be transferred somewhere else because the court is in the streets and the judges are also attacked there. have been done, I believe in the rule of law, I have never broken the law in my entire life, my only request is that the case of Kahcheri should be transferred elsewhere’.
Addressing Imran Khan, Justice Tariq Shaikh said that “I will say the same again that you should come inside the system, this case was nothing but mishandled”.
The public prosecutor informed the court that according to our information, 6 cases have been registered against Imran Khan. On this, Imran Khan said that 94 cases have been registered against me, the government should complete the century by registering 6 more cases.
Laughter erupted in the courtroom on this joke of Chairman PTI, on which Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh directed to observe the judicial code of conduct by saying ‘order order’ in the courtroom.
Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh remarked that you should bring your app in the system, there was no problem in this case, you guys mishandled it.
The lawyer of the Punjab government argued that “these people are saying that there are five cases of terrorism, but there are six cases of terrorism against Imran Khan”.
Imran Khan’s bail granted
A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court approved Imran Khan’s protective bail in 8 out of 9 cases and directed him not to be arrested until next Friday, March 24. Advocate Azhar Siddique, Imran Khan’s lawyer, also requested fifteen days from the court for bail and said that the court should give 15 days to file bail in all the cases as it is not yet known how many more cases are filed.
Bail granted in three cases of terrorism registered in Lahore
The court granted Imran Khan’s protective bail till March 27 in three cases registered under terrorism provisions in Lahore, while in Islamabad it granted bail till March 24 in five cases listed under terrorism provisions.
Bail also granted in PTI activist Zul Shah murder case
Later, a two-judge bench granted a ten-day anticipatory bail to Imdan Khan in a case registered at Sarwar Road Police Station over the death of PTI activist Zal Shah and ordered him not to be arrested till March 27.
Details of cases filed across Punjab sought till Tuesday
The Lahore High Court directed the Punjab government lawyer to submit the details of the cases registered against Imran Khan across Punjab by Tuesday. The court also stopped the disciplinary action against Imran Khan.
