Two days after commenting on the repeal of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution regarding the special status of Occupied Kashmir, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has made it clear that nothing about Jammu and Kashmir can be an internal matter of India.
In his tweet, he said, “Let me make it clear that Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute on the agenda of the UN Security Council. The final settlement of this dispute is in a UN Security Council resolution in which the UN The United Nations has called for a free and fair referendum.
It may be recalled that in an interview to a private TV channel, Shah Mehmood Qureshi had said in his controversial remarks that repeal of Article 370 was an internal matter of India.
According to a clip of an interview circulating on social media, Shah Mehmood Qureshi was heard saying that the repeal of Article 370 is an internal matter of India and Pakistan has no problem with India’s decision on Article 370. That the revocation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir has been challenged in the Supreme Court of India.
He also claimed that a large section of the people in India believed that the move was not in India’s interest. The Foreign Minister also stressed that all issues could only be resolved through dialogue because of the war. There will be suicide.
When asked what is important for Pakistan? He had said that under Article 35A, 1954, a presidential decree, under Article 35A of the Constitution, allowed the legislators of Jammu and Kashmir to define permanent residents of the state, their special rights and privileges. ۔
The remarks come at a time when back-channel contacts between Pakistan and India have begun, which the opposition has termed as contrary to Pakistan’s permanent position that relations will not be normalized until India restores Article 370. He asked how the Foreign Minister was declaring Article 370 of the Indian Constitution as an internal matter of India.
“Pakistan does not recognize it. No issue related to Kashmir is an internal matter of India. Modi’s attempt to illegally annex occupied Jammu and Kashmir is unacceptable to Pakistan,” he said. According to the resolutions, it is a divided region.

Sherry Rehman said, “If you object to one change, you should object to the other. Both conditions are completely unacceptable to the people of Kashmir and Pakistan. The conditions for peace must be fair.”
PML-N leader Muhammad Zubair also criticized the Foreign Minister for his remarks. He had said that it was not historic for Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi to declare Article 370 as an internal matter of India.

A senior PML-N leader had said, “It means that Pakistan has agreed to abandon its historic position that Kashmir is a disputed region.” It is part of the federation and if we accept it as such, then what happened to our historical position?
