LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami has announced to protest in Lahore against the crisis of flour, chicken and other essential items and the back-breaking inflation.
Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Lahore Ziauddin Ansari Advocate said in a press conference that the crisis of flour, chicken and essential items is the result of government malpractice and mismanagement. Indifference of the rulers to public problems and inflation is the worst example of indifference.
He said that Pakistan is an agricultural country and here people are struggling to buy flour. 20 kg flour is not available even for 3 thousand rupees. Inflation rate has increased by 1.09 percent during the last one week. Chicken disappeared from the market after reaching a record price of Rs 550 per kg. The white class is fed up with the situation and is forced to commit suicide.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami further said that Jamaat-e-Islami will hold protests on various roads and squares of the city against the crisis and inflation of flour, chicken and other essential items. On Sunday, January 8, a massive public protest will be held on Multan Road. In the coming days, protests will be held at important places including Akbar Chowk, GT Road Baghbanpura.
