ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered release of 70 PTI workers whom were detained by police.
The High Court heard a petition against police harassment of PTI workers. The High Court asked why the workers were being harassed unnecessarily.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad replied that a political party asked for permission but they were not allowed. After the report of ISI, MI and other agencies, we did not give permission. The agency may target this political party. About 70 workers have been detained in Islamabad.
The Chief Justice said that if there is a report that someone is trying to break the Metro then you can take a bond from him. You just have to be more discriminating with the help you render toward other people.
The High Court ordered the release of 70 PTI detainees on bond and said that if there was any case against anyone, they should inform this court tomorrow.
