Rawalpindi: Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said after PTI’s victory in the by-elections in Punjab that the institutions laid the foundation for an impartial, clean and transparent election.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed challenged the appointment of DG Anti-Corruption Punjab Rana Abdul Jabbar in the Lahore High Court.
According to Express News, Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, Rana Sanaullah and others have been made parties in the petition filed by former Interior Minister and Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed. In the petition filed through the mediation of Advocate Azhar Siddique, it has been argued that the appointment of DG Anti-Corruption is against the law.
According to the application, a 20th grade officer cannot be appointed DG Anti-Corruption. Rana Abdul Jabbar has relationship with Rana Sanaullah, on this basis he has been appointed as DG Anti-Corruption. Criminal cases are going on against Rana Abdul Jabbar. In the petition, it is requested that Rana Abdul Jabbar be immediately stopped from working as DG Anti-Corruption.
