Meanwhile, the PTI slammed the government for putting more burden on the people due to inflation due to the exorbitant increase in electricity rates.
The PTI leaders said that the misbehavior of the ‘looters’ has multiplied the hardships of the people as they are more interested in preserving their power than in alleviating the hardships of the people.
Secretary General PTI Punjab Hammad Azhar in a post on social media criticized the government for further increase in electricity prices.
He said that the government has increased the basic electricity tariff by Rs 3.50 per unit, the reason for this increase is only the power plants of Muslim League (N) running on imported fuel which are generating the most expensive electricity. The whole nation is paying the price for this mistake of Muslim League (N).
Meanwhile, PTI’s senior leader Imran Ismail also said in his tweet that the imported government’s increase in electricity prices is a shameful act.
He said that after bankrupting the country with expensive electricity and expensive projects, these tubers will flee the country, rejecting the increase in electricity prices.
