Islamabad: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has mentioned two differences with the establishment during his tenure.
In an interview given to private TV, Imran Khan said that my relationship with the army chief was never bad, our strength was that we were on the same page, we were on the same page because I had no personal agenda, the past I had differences with the establishment of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari because they used to steal money and send it out, ISI had all the information and the army knew it.
I had no such problem, so my relationship with the Army Chief was fine. However, there was an issue between us on the appointment of DGISI because I wanted General Faiz to stay for the winter due to security issues.
But he was of the opinion that there is a rule to be followed in the army, everyone has a time period. But then I was thinking for the whole of Pakistan.
Imran Khan further said that the second problem was over Usman Buzdar but I told that our setup in Punjab is very fragile. If Usman Buzdar is removed and no name will be agreed upon, General Bajwa was told that Usman Buzdar. He used to name a man but it was not possible because of his land issue. He added that my strength is the people. When I came into politics 26 years ago, I had no electables. No, I came to politics through the people and I go back through them.
Imran Khan said that Toshah Khana and foreign funding case are stupid cases, I wanted those who received gifts in Toshah Khana to be compared to see who was following the law and who was not. The unfortunate thing is that an election commissioner has come who is morally corrupt, cowardly and cannot take pressure. How did this happen? Opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif gave names for himself and we for our election commissioner, when we did not agree, neutrals gave names to keep him. Goes along with the government, but has no shame in it, takes decisions with great shamelessness, it has given decisions against us eight times.
