Significant progress has been made in the investigation into the blast in Anarkali area of Lahore. Security forces detained the alleged facilitators and transferred them to an unknown location. Cameras installed at the site of the blast have identified three suspects.
According to details, security agencies detained the facilitators. The alleged facilitators have been taken into custody this morning. The alleged facilitators have been shifted to an unknown location. Interrogation of the accused has been started. Earlier, three suspects were identified from close circuit footage after which all NADRA was contacted to identify the faces of the persons.
According to police sources, the suspects were spotted around the scene before the blast. However, the police cannot declare anyone as the final accused till the investigation is completed. It has been reported that two alleged terrorists have been identified in the Anakli Pan Mandi blast, three suspects have been identified in the cameras installed at the site of the blast, one of the three has placed explosives and the rest 2 assisted him while the alleged facilitator was in phone contact with the terrorist who had brought the parcel of the bomb.
It may be recalled that an explosion took place in Anarkali area of Lahore, the capital of Punjab province, as a result of which 3 people were killed and 26 others were injured. Eyewitness statements are also coming to light. I was stabbed. People were shouting for help. After the explosion, smoke spread everywhere and chaos ensued.
Shortly before the blast, a man had parked his motorcycle, and as soon as the man left, an explosion occurred. One of the dead in the blast near Pan Mandi in Anar Kali was identified as 31-year-old Ramzan and the other was a 9-year-old child.
