Islamabad :
An important meeting was held between Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry and Cuban Ambassador Zener Javier in which issues of mutual interest were discussed between the two leaders.
According to details, during the meeting, the two leaders (Fawad Chaudhry and Zener Javier) signed a memorandum of understanding between Pakistan and Cuba. Later talking to the media, the Minister said that Pakistan and Cuba have wider potential for partnership and Pakistan’s efforts in evacuating foreigners from Afghanistan were appreciated by the world.
Fawad Chaudhry said that they are trying to prevent a humanitarian tragedy in Afghanistan and sought help from the international community on the basis of humanitarian sympathy for Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Cuban Ambassador Zenar Javier said that help in evacuation of foreigners from Kabul. Thanks to Pakistan for doing so, it is commendable to start a series of food and medicine for the Afghan people.
During the meeting, the Federal Minister and the Cuban Ambassador also highlighted the excellent relations between the two countries and discussed the future. The leaders pledged to continue cooperation on issues of common and mutual interest.
