Islamabad :
Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has warned of possible problems arising from the Afghan crisis, saying that if Pakistan’s advice on the war-torn country was ignored, the world would suffer an “irreparable loss”. Will have to face.
In an interview to TRT World, Fawad Chaudhry said that the world should listen to Pakistan because “in the recent past, Pakistan’s advice was not heeded. If the advice of Pakistan and the Prime Minister had been listened to, the situation would have been different.” ۔
“The situation in Afghanistan is very worrying for Pakistan. We had to deal with these issues when the Soviet Union left Afghanistan in 1988,” he said.
Fawad Chaudhry said that while Russia, China, the United States and Pakistan have played a key role in resolving the Afghan conflict, other groups from Turkey, Pakistan, Iran and other Central Asian states also need to be active. Help solve the crisis.
The Federal Minister further said that Pakistan is once again stuck in a quagmire as US and NATO forces are withdrawing from Afghanistan.
At the same time, he warned that Pakistan is already hosting 3.5 million Afghan refugees while our economy is not strong enough to take care of such a large number of refugees.
“As Afghanistan has been left in the past and if the world repeats the same mistake, we will have a center of extremist organizations on the border with Pakistan, which will obviously be very disturbing for us,” he warned.
Fawad Chaudhry stressed that Pakistan is doing its best to bring stability in the region as we are working with regional and international powers for a comprehensive government in Afghanistan.
However, the Federal Minister said that there is no refugee crisis at the moment, Pakistan has expelled foreign nationals from Kabul and as far as migrants are concerned, our border is normal at present.
He stressed that “Pakistan has a comprehensive strategy to deal with instability because we do not want to repeat the events of 1977 because we do not want these migrants to enter Pakistan.”
He said that arrangements would be made to deal with the migration of people on the Pak-Afghan border and the world should help Pakistan in this situation.
