News about former Interior Minister and senior politician Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan’s joining PTI is circulating these days and now the government’s position has also come on it, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan Nisar met a few months ago.
We had asked Chaudhry Nisar to join even before the election. If Chaudhry Nisar joins PTI, we will be benefited. They stand like a wall, so we will not make any decision without informing them.
According to a report, despite contacts between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the former Home Minister will not join the PTI. According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan in a meeting with Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan before the 2018 elections. He was offered to join PTI and become a senior party official but the former home minister did not accept the offer. Sources in the report also said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had offered to make Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan the Chief Minister of Punjab but at that time he thought that an assembly in which PML-N is in opposition and Hamza Shahbaz. If there is an opposition leader, he will not be able to speak against Shahbaz Sharif in the House and it would not be appropriate for him to become the Chief Minister on the basis of one provincial seat.
It is also reported quoting sources that despite the contacts of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan did not support joining PTI while these days he is still holding meetings in his constituency where his son Timur. Ali Khan has also started increasing his influence.
