The Punjab government has announced that 9 days leave will be given to the employees while giving Eid to the employees. Earlier, the Interior Ministry has issued a notification of Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. On Saturdays.
On May 8 and 9, there will be regular holidays, while on May 16, with the Sunday holiday, government employees will enjoy a total of nine holidays. Earlier, the federal government had also announced Eid holidays. Following the approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Interior Ministry has issued a notification for Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. Under the notification, Eid-ul-Fitr holidays will be from May 10 to Saturday, May 15.
The Federal Ministry of Home Affairs had sent a summary of Eid-ul-Fitr holidays to the Prime Minister on April 30. The summary recommended holidays from May 8 to 16, but Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays today, a week-long Eid-ul-Fitr holiday. It may be recalled that on April 28, the NCOC had also issued guidelines for “Stay Home and Stay Safe” from May 8 to May 16, under which the moon night bazaars, henna, jewelery and clothing stalls would be banned from May 8 to 16. , Amusement parks, public parks, shopping malls will remain closed.
Resorts and surrounding hotels will also remain closed. Private cars, rickshaws, taxis will be allowed with 50% rides. Inter-provincial, inter and intra-city public transport will be banned. Additional trains will run until May 7. The NCOC also decided to give more holidays on Eid-ul-Fitr. The purpose of holding more holidays is to keep people safe in their homes. There will be no load shedding during Eid days. From May 8 to May 16, all markets, shops and businesses will be closed under the “Stay Home” strategy.
