According to media reports, Political Assistant of Tehsil Koh Sulaiman Ikram Malik has been instructed to take strict action against the hotel mafia involved in landslides.
In a letter to Ikram Malik, Anwar Briar said that transport owners have alleged that Hotel Mafia on Fort Munro Road is responsible for continuous landslides on the National Highway after rains.
Truck driver Hidayatullah said that the road is often closed here, the incidents of stone falling from the mountains are not natural but are done by the citizens, when the traffic gets jammed, the hotel mafia starts selling expensive goods. ‘
He complained that fruits and vegetables rot due to daily traffic problems.
Dera. Due to the closure of Quetta Road, there has been a sharp rise in prices and shortage of vegetables and fruits in South Punjab.
On the other hand, Chief Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal reviewed the arrangements in flood relief camps in Rojhan and Rajanpur.
The Chief Secretary met the flood victims along with Additional Chief Secretary Shahryar Sultan.
He directed Rescue 1122 to improve response in inaccessible areas, he said to ensure availability of medicines for flood victims as well as vaccination and supply of fodder for livestock.
Kamran Ali Afzal said that the administration should guide welfare institutions and philanthropists.
He directed to speed up the operation and deliver relief materials by helicopter to the affected areas of Mount Sulaiman.
Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan Liaquat Ali Chatta gave a briefing to the Chief Secretary, he said that 16 thousand 685 tents, 48 thousand 122 ration bags, 1 thousand 430 mats, 6 thousand 866 water bottles were distributed in the flood affected areas of Rajanpur district. And 2 thousand mosquito nets have been distributed.
