Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has expressed grave concern over the rise in terrorism in the federal capital and attacks on police. He said that 150 motorcycle eagle squads would be formed this week to make Islamabad a safe city.
In a statement issued on Twitter, Sheikh Rashid said that terrorist incidents have been on the rise in Islamabad for some time now, there is concern over attacks on police in the city, a head constable and constable have been martyred even at night, the number of police martyrs in our time It’s 9 o’clock.
The Home Minister said that 150 motorcycle eagle squads would be formed this week to make Islamabad a safe city. He said that today I am going on a two-day visit to see North and South Waziristan border management, open borders towards Afghanistan. The fencing will be completed in two months while the fencing on the Afghanistan-Iran border will be completed by the end of the year.
Sheikh Rashid said that Imran Khan government wants to bring a system at all borders in which there is electronic entry and exit. It should be noted that two policemen were martyred in the firing of the accused riding a motorcycle in Islamabad. According to police, Eagle Squad tried to stop the motorcyclists in Shams Colony. When the accused did not stop, they were chased and the accused opened fire, as a result of which Ishtiaq and Bashir Shah were martyred.
DIG Operations Afzal Ahmed while talking to media said that it is too early to say anything before the investigation is completed, CCTV will be used to catch the accused. On the other hand, the Federal Home Minister sought a report of the incident from the IG.
