ISLAMABAD: Heavy rains in Punjab have severely affected the movement of trains due to standing water at Gujarat railway station and railway tracks.
Trains from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Rawalpindi were stopped before Gujarat, while trains to Sindh, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were also stopped.
Trains were affected for two and a half hours. Awam Express, Jaffar Express, Tezgam and Rail Car Jhelum stood for two and a half hours.

The spokesman said that the railway track in Gujarat has been cleared after the water level receded, giving a green signal to run trains stopped due to heavy rains.
