The government has decided to provide up to Rs 1 million every year to every family in Punjab through health card. In this regard, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that health, education and in four basic necessities flour, sugar, pulses and ghee we are Bringing big relief for the public.
He tweeted on social networking site Twitter that after Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, every family in Punjab will now be able to get up to Rs 1 million every year through health card, now through this game changer program, quality treatment from the poorest. Everyone will have access to the middle class, health, education and the four basic necessities of flour, sugar, pulses and ghee are bringing great relief.
The Federal Minister said that the health card would be launched in December and the entire Punjab would get health cards by March. Fawad Chaudhry said that you can use the health card in any doctor or hospital of your choice.
Not only government but also private doctors and hospitals will now be available for your treatment free of cost. Earlier it was informed that the federal government has planned to provide health card facility to all the residents of Punjab by December 2021.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that 7 million families will have access to health card facility, treatment in public and private hospitals will be possible, our government’s goal is to help deserving people, the basic right of every citizen to medical treatment facilities. Yes, the private sector will be supported to set up hospitals in remote areas, so our government has brought reforms in the health sector.
The Prime Minister was given a briefing on Universal Health Coverage in Punjab Province in which Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid also participated through video link while Special Assistant for Health Dr. Faisal Sultan was also present on the occasion.
During the briefing, Prime Minister Imran Khan was informed that health cards would be provided in Punjab province by December 2021, health card facility would be available to 7 million households, with all residents of Punjab province health card by December 2021. The facility will be available, which will enable treatment in public and private hospitals. Special attention is being paid to the backward districts including DG Khan and Sahiwal.
