Lahore:
A parliamentary parliamentary delegation led by Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf called on Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz. The delegation included former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Member Punjab Assembly Ali Haider Gilani and Hassan Murtaza.
The political situation and other issues were discussed during the meeting. Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf, Syed Yousuf Ali Gilani and other participants congratulated Hamza Shahbaz on assuming the office of Chief Minister and presented a bouquet.
The meeting reaffirmed the consensus to work together. Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz thanked the top leadership of PPP for their full cooperation and said that allies are like our friends and brothers, tolerance and feeling are real political traditions. Positions are temporary. Love of humanity should be the priority.
The Punjab Chief Minister further said that constitutional and democratic values would be promoted through reconciliation. The development journey of Punjab has started from where it was cut off 4 years ago. Time is short, we have to work day and night. We will welcome the advice of friends. We are all working together for the development and prosperity of the country and the nation. Sardar Owais Leghari, Khawaja Salman Rafique, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Ata Allah Tarar and Imran Goraya were also present on the occasion.
