ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reduced the electricity rate by Rs 4.25 per unit while giving a big relief to the public in October bills.
In this context, Information and Broadcasting Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reduced the electricity rate by 4 rupees while giving great relief to the people. Yes, it has been decided to continue the quarterly adjustment of September electricity bills.
According to the information minister, considering the burden on the public, it was decided not to increase the electricity rates of the consumers.
In this context, Secretary Energy Division has said in his statement that Nepra has decided on 14 October 2022 for the fourth quarter (quarterly adjustment) of the year 2021-22. It has been decided not to increase the electricity rates of the consumers while continuing the quarterly adjustment in the bills.
According to the Secretary Energy Division, the electricity rate of consumers has been reduced by Rs 4.15 in the month of October as compared to September due to fuel charges adjustment.
