Addressing a meeting of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister said that coal-fired power plants could not be run that were installed under the Pak-China Economic Corridor. Former govt paid no attention to power crisis. Pakistan has the capacity to produce 35000 mega watt electricity in the country.
Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that there is load shedding in the country at present due to lack of interest of the former incompetent government, because the former rulers and followers did not pay any attention to the power crisis.
Speaking in the National Assembly on Saturday, he said that several meetings were held with the energy authorities in which it was revealed that the country currently has the capacity to generate 35,000 MW of electricity, of which 6,000 MW comes from hydel power. May be

It is to be noted that the agenda of the meeting included voting on a no-confidence motion against Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri which could not take place due to his resignation.
