Riyadh :
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Saudi Foreign Minister stressed the need to increase cooperation in trade, investment, infrastructure development, energy, tourism and manpower and other sectors.
According to details, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had a one-on-one meeting with his Saudi counterpart, in which the two countries discussed the promotion of bilateral cooperation in various fields and discussed important regional and global issues of mutual interest.
Welcoming the establishment of the Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination Council, the Foreign Ministers pledged to use the Supreme Coordination Council for the strengthening of bilateral relations.
The Council will be co-chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. The Council will cover political, security, economic and cultural aspects, while the Council will be headed by the two Foreign Ministers.
Stressing on the need to address the travel difficulties, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi apprised his Saudi counterpart of the human rights violations in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan’s conciliatory efforts for peace in Afghanistan. Appreciating the positive role of Saudi Arabia for development, he reiterated the invitation of his Saudi counterpart to visit Pakistan.
