Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi arrived in Turkmenistan, where he met with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov and said that Pakistan was committed to boosting economic ties with Turkmenistan. The two leaders discussed ways to boost bilateral ties and economic ties.
According to details, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi arrived in Turkmenistan on the third leg of his four-nation tour, where he was welcomed by the Pakistani Ambassador and Turkmen Foreign Ministry officials. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi met with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov Senior officials of the party were also present in the meeting.
The Foreign Minister conveyed the good wishes of Prime Minister Imran Khan to the President of Turkmenistan. During the meeting, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pakistan attaches importance to relations with Turkmenistan and Pakistan is committed to boosting economic ties with Turkmenistan.
Talking about the current situation in Afghanistan, the Foreign Minister briefed the President of Turkmenistan on Pakistan’s position on the situation in Afghanistan and said that a peaceful and stable Afghanistan would be beneficial to the region. On the occasion, the Turkmen President welcomed the Foreign Minister to Turkmenistan and said that he appreciated the Foreign Minister’s efforts in view of the Afghan situation.
