Announcing the ban on TLP , Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry said that the federal cabinet has decided to maintain the ban on the banned Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP). They are accused of torturing and damaging property.
The Federal Minister said that the report of the committee set up to consider the organisation’s request for review of the ban on Tehreek-e-Lubaik Pakistan (TLP) was submitted to the Federal Cabinet. The organization was banned on merit.
“The federal cabinet has decided that the ban on the TLP will be maintained,” he said, adding that the organization was responsible for killing policemen, torturing local forces and damaging property. Fawad Chaudhry said that steps would be taken by the Federal Ministry of Law and Attorney General to cancel the election symbol of this organization from the Election Commission.
He said that the appointment of 5 members of Iqbal Academy Pakistan has been approved in the meeting of the Federal Cabinet. Besides, approval has been given to fix retail price of 49 medicines. These medicines were not being manufactured in Pakistan.
He said that approval has been given for the appointment of Amjad Khan as the CEO of Islamabad Electric Supply Corporation. ۔
