Islamabad: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has held separate farewell meetings with President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
According to sources, President Dr. Arif Alvi expressed good wishes for General Qamar Javed Bajwa. On behalf of the President, General Qamar Javed Bajwa was praised for his services to the country and Pakistan Army. He appreciated the services of the retired army chief in the defense sector.
Later, the Army Chief also had a farewell meeting with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. A luncheon has also been organized by the Prime Minister in honor of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
It should be noted that the special change of command ceremony for the new Army Chief will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, November 29 at 9 am. In the ceremony, the new Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir will take command of the Pakistan Army.
Retired Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa will hand over the command of Pakistan Army to the new Army Chief in a special ceremony. On this occasion, chiefs of all armed forces, senior civil and military officers will participate in the ceremony. Apart from this, federal ministers, diplomats, dignitaries and journalists have also been invited to the ceremony. On this occasion, the new army chief will be felicitated.
