Karachi: Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Asad Umar says that Nawaz Sharif is not happy with Miftah Ismail either. Don’t blame your failure on others.
After filing a petition against the Election Commission’s notice in the Sindh High Court, Asad Umar said in a media interview that Miftah Ismail is saying that there is no agreement with the IMF because of PTI. Do not blame your failure on others. Shame on you. Nawaz Sharif is also not happy with Miftah Ismail.
He said that you brought down the elected government under a conspiracy. We were in a much better position to negotiate with the IMF. We were putting the country on our feet. Who stopped them from signing the contract 4 months ago?
Asad Umar said that the Election Commission wants black to be white and white to be black and if we continue to believe it will not happen. It is clear in the constitution that the Election Commission is not a court.
He said that Supreme Court or High Court can take action under Article 204. An application has been filed against the illegal notice. The decisions of the Election Commission against PTI have no scope in the law.
Asad Umar said that the fund raising appeal is being discussed by Imran Khan. Soon a decision will be taken in this regard.
Earlier, Asad Umar filed a petition in the Sindh High Court against the Election Commission’s show cause notice, requesting the court to nullify the Election Commission’s August 19 notice.
The Election Commission has said in a notice that Imran Khan made an insulting statement against the Chief Election Commissioner during a rally in Bhakkar on July 12 and made baseless allegations against the Election Commission. According to the notice, baseless allegations were made against the Election Commission. Sending this notice does not come under the jurisdiction of Election Commission. The Election Commission’s notice should be suspended until the decision of this application is made. The Election Commission should be restrained from taking any kind of action.
