Sindh Election Commission member Nisar Durrani and Balochistan member Shah Mohammad heard the notices against Fawad Chaudhry and Azam Swati. An apology was also submitted by the party. Therefore, in today’s hearing, the Federal Minister for Railways appeared before the Election Commission himself.
The Sindh member said that Azam Swati Sahib, you are a busy man, why don’t you come forward, you have more responsibility, all the institutions are yours, it is not right to call them bad or bad. Always raised the voice to make.
Later, the ECP accepted the apology of Fawad Chaudhry and Azam Swati and directed the two ministers to be cautious in the future. Talking to media outside the ECP, Azam Swati thanked the ECP for accepting the apology and said that We want the commission to be empowered.
The Federal Minister said that the Election Commission is going to make good decisions on Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and the sanctity of voting will be protected through EVM. He further said that the Election Commission has been empowered in all respects. In this regard, Barrister Ali Zafar said that he has apologized for what happened in the past, it is the responsibility of every individual to maintain the dignity of the Election Commission because We have to work with the commission.
It may be recalled that while discussing the proposed amendments to the Election (Amendment) Act 2021 in the meeting of the Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs on September 10, Azam Swati had said that the Election Commission has always been involved in rigging and such institutions should be set on fire. ۔
He had sharply criticized the Election Commission before the voting process on the proposed amendments in the committee, alleging that the Commission had rigged the elections by taking bribes. After these remarks of Azam Swati, the members of the Election Commission walked out of the meeting in protest.
