Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has said that dengue can also be controlled. If we can fight against a contagious disease like Corona, why can’t we fight against dengue. He said that public awareness campaign should be launched to prevent the spread of dengue and there was a need to eradicate the people from whom dengue was spreading.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid inspected the dengue ward of Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi. The Vice Chancellor of Rawalpindi Medical University briefed the Home Minister about dengue. He said that the causes of dengue need to be eradicated and action plan should be formulated in collaboration with the district administration and health agencies. It should be noted that the number of dengue cases and deaths is increasing across the country.
It may be recalled that 125 cases of dengue have been reported in Islamabad in the last 24 hours, which is the highest number so far, after which the total number of dengue cases in the capital has risen to 1528. The District Health Officer (DHO) said that In 24 hours, 78 cases of dengue have been reported from rural areas of Islamabad. So far, dengue has been confirmed in 1015 people in these areas.
