The Islamabad High Court has said that criticism of the decisions of the High Court does not fall under the category of contempt.
The court issued a written decision rejecting the contempt of court petition against Fawad Chaudhry, in which it was said that the petition against Fawad Chaudhry was requested for contempt of court on the words spoken in the TV show, but only criticism of the High Court’s decisions does not fall under the category of contempt of court.
The High Court declared that even if the decision is critical, it is based on a misunderstanding, it does not hinder the delivery of justice, the application against Fawad Chaudhry does not meet the merits, the application filed for contempt of court is rejected.
It should be noted that Justice Babar Sattar issued a written decision on Salimullah’s request.
