The corona virus has once again gone out of control in the country, with 3,019 corona cases reported in one day. The rate of positive cases of global corona virus in Pakistan has exceeded 6%, with Punjab having the highest number of deaths due to corona.
According to the details, more than 3,000 cases of Corona have been reported in a single day in the last four months while 5 people have died of Corona virus in the last 24 hours across the country bringing the total number of deaths to 28,992. ۔
According to the latest figures from the National Command and Operations Center, 3,019 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours: 449,843 in Punjab, 491,743 in Sindh, 181,906 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 181,906 in Balochistan. 33,675 cases were reported in Gilgit-Baltistan, 10,437 in Islamabad, 1,09,944 in Islamabad and 34,719 in Azad Kashmir.
According to the NCOC, 49,270 corona tests were performed across the country in the last 24 hours, with a positive case rate of 6.12%. It may be recalled that the highest number of deaths due to Corona was in Punjab where 13,084 people lost their lives while 7,691 in Sindh, 5,948 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 967 in Islamabad, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 367 in Balochistan and Azad Kashmir. 749 people have lost their lives.
On the other hand, around the world, Corona seems to be out of control once again. More than 3.1 million cases were recorded in a single day worldwide. In two days, the number of cases worldwide reached more than 6 million. More than 10 million cases were reported in four days.
It should be noted that the global epidemic that started in 2019 has so far affected more than 310 million people while the number of deaths is more than 5.5 million. In this regard, the World Health Organization has warned that within the next six to eight weeks, a new type of corona omecron will be in its grip.
