The parliamentary leaders of Pakistan and Iran have discussed the issue of Palestine by telephone.
During a telephone conversation with Iranian Speaker Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan commented on Iran’s important role in resolving the problems of the Islamic world and Muslims, emphasizing the support of the Palestinian people and unity in the fight against the Zionist state.
According to the details, “Asad Qaiser” and “Mohamed Baqir Qalibaf” reviewed the latest situation in Palestine and Gaza Strip during a telephone conversation on Tuesday.
On the occasion, the Pakistani Speaker strongly condemned the Zionist aggression in Gaza and stressed the need for unity and solidarity among the Muslim Ummah in support of Palestine and in dealing with the crimes of the illegitimate Zionist state.
Explaining to his Iranian speaker in the National Assembly of Pakistan the solidarity with the Palestinians and the adoption of a unanimous resolution against Israeli barbarism at Al-Aqsa Mosque, he said that we are silent on the aggression against the Gaza Strip and the massacre of the Palestinian people. Asad Qaiser said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has a key role in solving the problems of the Islamic world and the Muslim Ummah.
He called on Islamic countries to adopt a common and effective strategy to address the challenges facing Muslims.
The Pakistani speaker also invited his Iranian counterpart to attend a meeting of the parliamentary heads of the ECO in Islamabad.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf stressed the need for unity and solidarity among the Muslim Ummah in resolving the Palestinian issue and reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to play an effective role in resolving the issues facing the Islamic world.
On the other hand, 250 members of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a statement, supported the Standing Front in Al-Quds Al-Sharif and stressed the need for regional and international coordination and unity to fight Zionist crimes.
The statement added that the Iranian parliament is trying to establish a regional and international consensus through parliamentary relations with regional and international countries to deal with the illegitimate Zionist state and liberate Al-Quds Al-Sharif from the control of these occupiers. ۔
