KARACHI: The crisis of medicine in the city of Quaid is intensifying, the companies have demanded a 40% increase in the prices.
Most of the medicines for fever, cold, stomach ache, cough and epilepsy have become scarce in the city, while the medical stores that have them are charging higher prices.
Sources say that due to the increase in the high flight of the dollar, there is a negative impact on the purchase and sale of raw materials, while stocks are not being provided to wholesalers by the companies.

In the market, a box of 20 leaves of fever medicine is selling for Rs 700, while a box of 10 leaves of cold medicine is selling for more than Rs 850.
Citizens including prominent public and private hospitals and medical experts have demanded the government to review the situation immediately so that the crisis can be controlled.
