Prime Minister Imran Khan praised China in countries around the world and called it a role model of developing countries for poverty alleviation. The whole world is facing many difficulties including poverty. China’s unprecedented development has lifted people out of poverty.
In a video message on the 20th anniversary of the Chansao Assistance and Sustainable Development Corporation, the Prime Minister said that China’s unprecedented development has lifted 800 people out of poverty, and that China is a role model for developing countries in reducing poverty.
He said that the whole world, especially the southern part, was facing a number of challenges, including climate change, poverty and food insecurity.
He added that however, the global epidemic of corona virus caused an economic crisis that slowed global progress and for the first time in two decades increased severe poverty in 2020.
