Munir Akram, Pakistan’s ambassador to the United Nations, has said that China did not want to spoil relations with the United States. We raise the issue of Kashmir at the international level every year and China is with us in this.
Speaking to Geo News, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations and newly elected President of the G77 Group Munir Akram said that Pakistan had the support of the G77 countries, Pakistan has always shown leadership which made the group effective Is.
“We are facing many crises, including Corona. We have to ensure vaccine supply in developing countries. We will work transparently and impartially. The solidarity of the G77 group is very important, so we will try to ensure that all members of the group Take countries with you.
Talking about Kashmir issue, Munir Akram said that Kashmir issue is 70 years old. We had not raised Kashmir issue in the Security Council for 50 years. Pakistan has openly supported Kashmir’s position. I raised the issue of Kashmir three times, many countries supported this issue, we have to put pressure on the Security Council, the General Assembly and the Human Rights Council.
He further said that Kashmir issue is raised at the international level every year and China is with us in this. China has openly said that Kashmir issue should be resolved in accordance with UN resolutions. China has veto power in the Security Council.
The Pakistani ambassador said that everyone understands the geopolitical situation, we have very close relations with China and our relations with the United States are not bad. We are not talking about having bad relations with the United States, we are trying to have good relations with the United States.
