During his visit to the United States, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi held important meetings with US Secretary of Navy Carlos Dal Toro and other senior US Navy officials.
According to details, Pakistan Navy spokesman said that Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi attended the 24th International Sea Power Symposium during his visit to the United States. Delegations from more than 80 countries participated in the symposium. Chiefs of the Navy and Coast Guard also attended. The spokesman said the symposium discussed maritime challenges and enhancing global maritime security cooperation.
The Chief of Naval Staff had important meetings with US Secretary of Navy Carlos Dale Toro and other senior US Navy officials. The Naval Chief met with the Chiefs of Naval Staff of Argentina, France, Germany, Ghana, Japan, Sri Lanka and Turkey.
Issues of mutual interest and bilateral maritime cooperation were discussed during the meetings. The Chief of Naval Staff also visited the US Surface Warfare School where he was briefed on the role of US Navy. The Chief’s visit will further boost bilateral cooperation.
