Lahore: Muslim League (Q) General Council meeting was held, in which Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain was removed from the party’s presidency.
Tariq Bashir Cheema has also been removed from the post of Central Secretary General in the General Council meeting. In the meeting, Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain has been elected as the unopposed president of Muslim League (Q) and Kamil Ali Agha as the central general secretary.
In the meeting, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was elected unopposed as the president of Muslim League (Q) Punjab.
The meeting held at the Muslim League House was uncontested, resulting in the removal of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain as the central president and Tariq Bashir Cheema as the central secretary general.
Party officials and leaders from Punjab, KP, Balochistan and Sindh participated in the meeting. Officials of Muslim League (Q) from Central and Azad Kashmir also participated in the meeting. Apart from this, former MLAs, ticket holders and senators were also present in the meeting.
