Due to the incident that took place with the government delegation in Masjid-e-Nabawi, the cases filed against the PTI leadership were challenged in the court.
According to details, a petition has been filed in the Islamabad High Court on behalf of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in this regard. Asad Khan, Assistant Registrar, High Court, confirmed the receipt of the petition.
The petition seeks that any action of the FIA or the police be declared null and void, on what grounds the reasons for filing cases be made known, and that the persons named in the cases be prevented from being harassed. The cases registered across the country should be directed to be brought on record and the fundamental rights of the petitioners and their associates should be stopped.
It may be recalled that after Faisalabad, a case was also registered against Imran Khan and others in Attock on the charge of Masjid-e-Nabawi incident. Murad Saeed, Sheikh Rashid and many others have been nominated. Earlier, a case has been registered against 150 persons including PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Sheikh Rashid, Fawad Chaudhry, Shahbaz Gill, Qasim Suri, Anil Mussarat and Sahibzada Jahangir in Faisalabad over the incident that took place in Masjid-e-Nabawi. In the case registered in I, 4 sections have been imposed including the section of blasphemy.
Sheikh Rashid Shafiq, nephew of former Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, was taken into custody on arrival in Islamabad from Saudi Arabia after registration of cases. Member National Assembly Sheikh Rashid Shafiq arrived at New Islamabad International Airport on Sunday morning after paying Umrah. There, plainclothes men along with FIA immigration staff stopped and detained him, after which plainclothes men took him into custody and left the airport.
Later, Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah signaled the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. There is no justification for not filing a case against this person. This person is bent on misleading the young generation. Imran Khan is a fitna. He will be arrested at all times. ۔
The Home Minister alleged that some people from the UK, led by Anil Mussarat and Sahibzada Jahangir, would not be pardoned for what they had done, adding that Saudi Arabia had deported some people and Has decided to take action against.
