Police across the country have registered dozens of cases against PTI leaders and workers for Section 144 as well as other serious violations in the wake of the long march ended by PTI chief Imran Khan.
According to media reports, the capital’s police in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad have registered at least three cases against PTI leaders and workers for resisting law enforcement and damaging state property.
The allegations include setting fire to metro bus stations, but a visit to all four stations on Jinnah Avenue revealed that none of them were harmed.
The three cases have been registered at Kohsar police station and a total of 75 people were arrested, police said.
A total of 22 personnel were injured in the clashes, including 11 Islamabad police, nine Rangers and one each from FC and Punjab police, an Islamabad police official said.
