Quetta:
The Balochistan government spokesman said in a statement that Sindh was not implementing the IRSA rules, that drinking water was not even available in the Naseerabad division in Balochistan and that the province was currently facing water shortages.
Liaquat Shahwani said that Balochistan received 44% less water than its share this month and 34% less water last month. If there is loss, will there be no loss to Pakistan? Water shortage will damage crops in Balochistan.
The spokesman of the Balochistan government said that Sindh has a problem of water theft with Punjab and Sindh is plundering our share of water. On June 6 and 7, we were supposed to get 6,500 cusecs of water but we only got 2,500 cusecs. Water was found, if the situation remained like this, agriculture in Naseerabad division would be destroyed.
Liaquat Shahwani further said that Rs 81 billion has been sanctioned for Quetta-Karachi Shahwa for the people of Balochistan. Work on the bloody highway Quetta-Karachi will start this year. Work on C-Pack projects has started during the rule of Jam Kamal.
