Quetta: PTI leader and Senator Azam Swati was handed over to Quetta police on five-day remand.
Azam Swati was produced before the duty magistrate, Azam Swati was brought to court through the back gate of the courtroom. A 10-day remand was requested by the police.
Media was also not allowed inside the court.Talking to the media after the appearance of Azam Swati, PTI leader Qasim Suri said that Azam Swati was presented in the court like a terrorist and was brought from the back gate.
He said that the entry of the media was also closed in the court, freedom of expression is being strangled in this country.
Azam Swati’s lawyer Iqbal Shah said that it is illegal to lodge multiple FIRs in one case and will go to the Supreme Court against the illegal move, it is also illegal to stop the media.
It should be noted that on Friday, December 2, Senator Azam Swati was arrested by Quetta Police and transferred to Kuchlak Jail in Balochistan.
Cases are registered against Senator Azam Swati in Balochistan and Sindh, while a case was registered against Azam Swati in Quetta after his speech in Rawalpindi Jalsa, on which he was arrested by Quetta Police. In Balochistan too, FIRs have been registered against Azam Swati on the controversial tweet.
