Islamabad:
Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar has termed the recent rise in commodity prices as a global problem and said that the recent rise in inflation is not a domestic but a global problem. In which he gave the example of USA, China and India.
During a press conference in Islamabad, he said that the price of global markets increased as the gap between supply and demand and the disruption in the remittance system due to Corona affected all sectors.
Citing the example of the United States, China and India, he said that there is a record inflation in those countries where the rate of inflation can be imagined as much as ever. The price of rose by 81.55% while in Pakistan it increased by 17.55% in the same period.
It should be noted that the issue of inflation in Pakistan is gaining momentum these days. The people have also expressed their reaction to it and today the Prime Minister has also convened a meeting in which public issues are expected to be discussed.
