According to ISPR, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa had separate meetings with Foreign Ministers of China and Saudi Arabia. The meeting took place at GHQ.
Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that the OIC conference was a historic step towards understanding the current situation in Afghanistan. According to ISPR, issues of mutual interest and security situation in the region were discussed during the meeting. ۔
During the meeting between Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Jie, the promotion of bilateral defense cooperation was also discussed. China relations are based on mutual respect.
During the meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Jiechi appreciated the professionalism of Pakistan Army and said that the world should recognize Pakistan’s role for peace and stability in the region.
According to ISPR, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Jiechi also expressed satisfaction over the security provided to C-Pack.
According to ISPR, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and discussed issues of mutual interest, including regional security and the current situation in Afghanistan.
According to ISPR, the Saudi Foreign Minister praised Pakistan’s role in the Afghan situation and regional stability.
The ISPR said that the Saudi Foreign Minister reiterated his commitment to further improve diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan while appreciating Pakistan’s efforts in hosting the OIC Summit.
According to ISPR, in a meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan values its historical and fraternal relations with Saudi Arabia.
The Army Chief said that the OIC Summit was a historic step towards a common vision and strategy in which new challenges for peace and stability could be addressed.
