Islamabad: After Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sent the summary of the new Army Chief, President Dr. Arif Alvi met Imran Khan in Lahore.
There was a meeting between PTI Chairman Imran Khan and the President of the State at Zaman Park Lahore. The President took Imran Khan into confidence regarding the summary approved by the Prime Minister House.
Security measures have been taken prior to the President’s departure from Noor Khan Airbase by a special plane. The President will meet Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan in Lahore.

On the other hand, the President Secretariat has received the summary regarding the appointment of the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the Army Chief. After the approval of the President, the notification of the appointment of the Army Chief and the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee will be issued.
Under Article 243 of the Constitution, the President will appoint the Army Chief and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee on the advice of the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif sent the summary to the President of Pakistan.
On behalf of the Prime Minister, it has been decided to make Lieutenant General Asim Munir the Army Chief and Sahir Shamshad as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.
