Another program of the former prime minister, ‘No one sleeps hungry’, was also shut down after hospitals refused treatment on Sehat health cards.
According to Dunya News, the program ‘Koi Bhoka Na Soye’ started by former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been discontinued. Kitchen vans had been activated and have so far been told to distribute food to poor people at value of Rs 60 crore.
Earlier, Express News had reported that the treatment of patients eligible for health card facility in Rawalpindi division was stopped unannounced. An official attached to the Health Facility Card Services at the government hospital said on condition of anonymity that since April 1, the hospitals have unannouncedly stopped further admissions and operations on the Insaf Health Card, which has severely affected patients and their families.
