The fourth wave of Corona is raging in Pakistan and the number of patients and cases is increasing due to non-adoption of precautionary measures. In the last 24 hours, 98 people have lost their lives to the corona virus across the country, bringing the death toll to 26,330.
According to the latest figures from the National Command and Operations Center, 3,316 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, 455,05 in Punjab, 439,119 in Sindh, 165,512 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. 32,411 cases were reported in Gilgit-Baltistan, 10,065 in Islamabad, 111,249 in Islamabad and 32,873 in Azad Kashmir.
According to the NCOC, 52,314 corona tests were conducted across the country during the last 24 hours. The rate of positive cases in the last 24 hours was 6.33%. The number of cases of Corona in Sindh is 439,119, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 165,512, in Punjab 45,005, in Islamabad 101,249, in Balochistan 32,411 and in Azad Kashmir 32,873. And in Gilgit-Baltistan it has become 10,065.
The highest number of deaths due to Corona was in Punjab where 12,096 people lost their lives while 6,995 in Sindh, 5,130 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 877 in Islamabad, 178 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 342 in Balochistan and 712 in Azad Kashmir. People have lost their lives.
It may be recalled that the Federal Ministry of National Health Services has released weekly statistics of Corona, according to which the rate of positive cases in Mirpur is higher than other cities.
