On the occasion of Ashura Day, the federal government declared a public holiday on August 19 and 18 across the country and also issued a notification to grant a public holiday on 9th and 10th Muharram. All private and government offices and educational institutions will be closed during the holidays.

The four provincial governments have also announced a two-day holiday on Muharram 9 and 10. All private and government offices and educational institutions will remain closed during the public holidays. He issued a code of conduct for Al-Haram and directed all provinces to implement the conditions.
It should be noted that as soon as the new Islamic year and month begins, gatherings and processions are organized across the country in memory of the martyrs of Karbala. The federal and provincial governments have also taken special security measures to maintain law and order.
